The last shoot I did involved me taking a number of different images of glow sticks, arranging them and them cloning them into peoples eyes. I feel like this shoot was a success, although it did take me a long time to work out the shutter speed and how to take the images. I had to use a room which had no light in whatsoever. I could not use the classrooms, or the studio, as the light through the windows meant the glow sticks did not light up enough and were not visible in the shoot. Therefore, I had to use a room which had no light in or windows, which ended up being the disabled toilet. When in there, I took several images of glow sticks which were still on the floor. I made them and arranged them into different shapes so that the images could be used on their own or when I put them in the image. I also did some movement images which showed the formal element, in which I would leave the camera on a tripod and move the glow sticks in different directions. One of my favourite images from the shoot is the one below. I had to ensure that the clone tool on Photoshop was the same size as the eye and I also had the resize the glow stick image to ensure it fit to my scale. The image of the eye below did not work aswell therefore, I had to use a different image which was lighter.
Progression
Following from this shoot, I want to look at light writing with a torch. When researching photographers who have worked with glow sticks and light. I found this image below, in which a man took an image of someone and then wrote there name behind them with a torch. I think this is creative as it allows two photographs and techniques to be combined.
